A quick reference for how we expect agency partners to operate. Following these keeps the process fast and the relationship strong.

โœ… Do's

  • Submit candidates exclusively through Ashby โ€” never via email, LinkedIn, or WhatsApp
  • Complete every field in the submission template before submitting
  • @mention your TA contact in the notes field on every submission
  • Confirm NSFW comfort explicitly before submitting โ€” every time, every candidate
  • Check the Open Roles page before submitting โ€” only submit for roles marked โœ… Open
  • Check the country coverage table before progressing a candidate in a non-standard location
  • Check the Off-Limits Companies list before submitting current employees of restricted partners
  • Include a recording link (with public sharing enabled) when the role or process requires a recorded screen
  • Flag competing offers or active processes in the submission notes
  • Be transparent with candidates about the NSFW nature of the product from the very first conversation
  • Share the Candidate Handbook with every candidate before their first interview
  • Reference our published salary range (in the JD / role brief) when discussing compensation with a candidate
  • Share any feedback, ideas, market insights you have with the team, it's super helpful so we can collaborate better together!

โŒ Don'ts

  • Don't ask candidates for their current or past salary โ€” our ranges are already published in the JD, so this is no longer needed and no longer allowed
  • Don't contact Hiring Managers directly โ€” all communication goes through TA, unless explicitly stated otherwise
  • Don't submit the same candidate to multiple roles without flagging it
  • Don't submit speculatively for roles that are paused or not listed as open
  • Don't submit candidates who require visa sponsorship โ€” we do not sponsor
  • Don't submit candidates from blocked countries or currently employed at off-limits companies
  • Don't re-submit a previously rejected candidate without checking with your TA contact first
  • Don't send volume over quality โ€” three weak profiles damage your standing more than one strong one helps
  • Don't promise candidates a specific timeline or outcome โ€” that's for TA to communicate
  • Don't hide or downplay the NSFW nature of the product to get a candidate through the door
