See 🚩 Candidate Hard Gates & Red Flags for company-wide eligibility rules (NSFW, B2B, location default, English, compensation-expectations screening). What follows is specific to this role.

⛔️ Top Requirements

  1. Direct campaign/platform exposure.
  2. Understanding of traffic/performance metrics.
  3. Ability to explain personal actions and results.
  4. Comfort working with Adult / explicit-content acquisition.

🎯 Role Mission

Operate and optimize acquisition campaigns across adult, native, push and RTB traffic sources.

The person will make evidence-based campaign decisions and progressively take ownership of larger budgets.

📋 Responsibilities

  • Launch and optimize adult acquisition campaigns.
  • Monitor performance by traffic source, placement, format, market and creative.
  • Reallocate spend based on CPA, conversion and traffic quality.
  • Identify weak placements, fraud and low-quality traffic.
  • Contribute to creative hypotheses and testing plans.
  • Evaluate performance beyond clicks and registrations.
  • Analyze subscription conversion and customer quality.
  • Maintain accurate campaign tracking and reporting.
  • Communicate results and recommended actions clearly.
  • Develop toward independent ownership of substantial campaign budgets.

⛔️ Screening Criteria

  • Has direct campaign exposure and works inside the ad platforms.
  • Understands core metrics and can connect them to actions.
  • Can separate their own contribution from the wider team.
  • Shows learning speed and creative/testing curiosity.

There is no fixed minimum budget for Junior candidates. The candidate must still prove real execution and decision ownership. Do not apply the Senior $300K/month spend bar to Junior candidates — the spend question establishes level of ownership and exposure, not a hard minimum.

🚩 Red Flags

🚩
  • Only reporting/coordinating while others execute.
  • Recites metrics but cannot explain what action they took.
  • Only gives team results.
  • Experience is mainly account management, partnerships or publisher monetization.
  • Cannot explain how traffic quality was evaluated; reasoning stops at clicks or CTR.
  • No meaningful involvement in creative testing.

  5. In your last role at [company], what were your actual goals, and what was the primary metric used to determine whether you were performing well?

    • If unclear: How much of that do you personally touch vs. the wider team?
  8. What are your future career goals?
  9. Why did you leave each of your last two or three roles?
  10. Location / compensation expectations / notice period / B2B?

🎯 Track-Specific Guidance

Target profiles should show:

  • Direct RTB/native/push buying.
  • Campaign setup and optimization.
  • Tracking/postbacks.
  • Traffic-quality analysis.
  • Creative testing involvement.

Relevant platforms and tools include TrafficJunky, ExoClick, TrafficStars, Clickadu, PropellerAds, Adsterra, TrafficFactory, Taboola, Outbrain, MGID, Voluum, Binom, RedTrack, and server-to-server postbacks/sub-ID/placement-level tracking. Direct experience with every platform is not required. Experience at an adult advertising network, publisher or adtech company is relevant only when the candidate personally bought and optimized traffic from the advertiser side.

📁 Sourcing Guidance

⚠️

TrafficJunky and TrafficStars are Off-Limits Companies. This applies to candidates currently employed by those networks — not to candidates who simply bought traffic on their platforms as an advertiser. Do not approach current employees of TrafficJunky or TrafficStars for this or any role; see the Off-Limits Companies page.
