See 🚩 Candidate Hard Gates & Red Flags for company-wide eligibility rules (NSFW, B2B, location default, English, compensation-expectations screening). What follows is specific to this role.

⛔️ Top Requirements

  1. Hands-on media buying / acquisition ownership.
  2. Adult RTB / native / push — or strongly comparable restricted/aggressive acquisition mechanics.
  3. Clear, measurable commercial impact.
  4. Direct optimisation ownership.
  5. Seniority evaluated through traffic/deal/platform/economics scope — not a fixed $300K/month spend gate.

🎯 Role Mission

Own and scale adult acquisition at significant spend while protecting profitability, subscription quality and long-term customer value.

📋 Responsibilities

  • Own adult acquisition campaigns end to end.
  • Control and reallocate substantial campaign budgets.
  • Scale profitable traffic sources, placements and creatives.
  • Evaluate performance through CPA, rebill, LTV and payback.
  • Diagnose tracking, fraud, placement and funnel problems.
  • Build structured creative-testing systems.
  • Define testing budgets, winner rules and stopping rules.
  • Guide creative production using performance evidence.
  • Identify new traffic sources and expansion opportunities.
  • Communicate strategy, decisions, results and risks clearly.

⛔️ Screening Criteria

  • Is personally running and optimizing campaigns now.
  • Personally controls or drives meaningful acquisition commercially — via platform spend, flat/direct deals, publisher/network relationships, or partnership-driven traffic.
  • Can show recent measurable commercial impact.
  • Personally participates in creative testing and iteration.
💡

$300K+/month personally controlled spend is NOT a hard gate for this track. The Adult team works substantially through flat deals, direct deals, traffic-source relationships, publisher/network relationships, and partnership/business development — not only standard paid-media buying. Do not reject an excellent Adult candidate simply because they don't fit a standard monthly-spend model.

Direct adult/RTB experience is strongly preferred but not mandatory. Candidates may also qualify from other sensitive/restricted/grey verticals — iGaming, casino, betting, dating, crypto, sweepstakes, nutra, or similar restricted-acquisition environments — where they show they understand harder acquisition environments and can operate commercially within them. Mainstream-only performance-marketing experience remains a weaker fit for this track.

Also confirms current operating experience (still close to execution — strategy/advisory/account-management-only is not suitable), proven company experience at meaningful scale, personal campaign ownership, and product-category alignment (fully comfortable with uncensored products and explicit advertising creatives).

🚩 Red Flags

🚩
  • Team/company spend presented as personal spend.
  • Vague "performance improved" with no numbers.
  • No current hands-on execution — direct media buying is no longer recent.
  • Creative entirely owned by another team, or decisions depend entirely on account-manager recommendations.
  • Profile is supply-side/publisher-side, or affiliate/account management without direct media buying.
  • Profile is mainstream-only (Meta/Google/TikTok) with no meaningful RTB/native experience.
  • Commercial reasoning stops at clicks or CTR; results cannot be personally attributed.
  • Seniority masks distance from campaign execution.

🎯 Track-Specific Guidance

Priority profiles

  • Adult / RTB / native media buyers
  • iGaming / casino / betting performance teams
  • Dating, crypto, sweepstakes, nutra, or similar restricted-acquisition profiles
  • Mobile gaming candidates with genuine RTB/native/programmatic buying
  • Performance agencies where the candidate personally buys media

Strong signals (beyond spend): direct publisher/network relationships, negotiating flat or direct deals, partnership development, source-quality evaluation, commercial/funnel optimization, managing harder or restricted traffic. Advertiser-side buying across adult networks; native, push, display or popunder acquisition; placement-level optimization; traffic-quality and fraud analysis; rebill and subscription-economics experience; cohort analysis; flat-deal negotiation with publishers; international acquisition.

Adult-industry or adtech experience without current advertiser-side execution is insufficient. Example of ideal/good candidate for calibration: this LinkedIn profile.
